Our governing body is responsible for working with the nursery school to ensure that it delivers good quality early education. Together with the Head Teacher, who is responsible for day-to-day management, they ensure that the nursery school continues to improve its performance, the key roles of the governors are to;

To ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction,

To hold the Head Teacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff,

To oversee the financial performance of the school and make sure its money is well spent.
All our Governors hold a current Disclosure and Barring Services check.

Gill Rathbone
Type of Governor: Co-opted , Chair of Governors, SEN and Safeguarding Link Governor
Date Appointed: Current term of office March 2023
Brief personal statement: I have over thirty years of experience working in education as a teacher and consultant. I have worked with Fullbrook Nursery school since 1996, as an advisory teacher, consultant, governor and now chair of governor. I have supported the school through many changes and have seen to grow from strength to strength .

Fr Mark McIntyre

Brief personal statement: I have been the vicar at near by St Gabriel’s for the past six years and I am also a Governor at Joseph Lecky Academy.

Brief personal statement: 'I believe that children not only have a right to education but they are entitled to a high standard of education within a safe and nurturing environment. This is why I would like to use my position as parent governor to ensure that every child at Fullbrook nursery experiences this throughout their time here.

Andrina Flinders

Brief personal statement: I have been a member of the governing body since January 2013, when I joined Fullbrook as the Deputy Head Teacher. I am very proud to say that I am the Head Teacher of Fullbrook Nursery School; the governing body has my full commitment to work alongside them as we strive for quality and excellence.

Brief personal statement: I have worked in schools for 15 years in a variety of roles. My main role is to teach and support children with SEN and children new to English. I have lots of knowledge and good interpersonal skills to bring to my role on the governing body.

Brief personal statement: I have been a part of Fullbrook Nursey for the last 5 years both my children have either attended or are attending this nursery school setting.
l have experience on a personal level of Sen and Sen services and would like to incorporate the knowledge I have gained into my parent governor roll.
